How to load presets on the Hotone Ampero II

GET AMPERO II SOFTWARE

Ampero II Software is Hotone's free editor for Ampero II, Ampero II Stage and Ampero II Stomp. Download the newest Ampero II version for Mac or Windows from the Software section of Hotone's Support page.

CONNECT AND BACK UP

Connect the pedal's USB-C port to your computer and open Ampero II Software. Before you change anything, use Backup Device Data to save everything on your pedal. Then update your pedal to the latest firmware from the Firmware section of Hotone's Support page.

LOAD YOUR PRESETS

Unzip your download. Skip any __MACOSX folder and any file starting with ._ (Mac leftovers). If your pack has two firmware folders, use the newer one. Use Import Patch to load each .prst file into an empty patch. Factory-fresh empty patches start at A33-1 on a Stomp, A26-1 on a Stage and A32-1 on an Ampero II. Tone Catch packs also include .tone files. Add them with Import clone files, then pick them in each preset's CLONE block.

TEST OUT YOUR NEW PRESETS

You are good to go! Play through the sounds and see what inspires you. If you share something, tag the artist on social media. They would love to hear how you are using their presets.
