How to load presets in Apple Logic & MainStage

UPDATE YOUR APP AND SOUNDS

In the App Store, click Updates and install any Logic Pro or MainStage update. Then open the app and choose Logic Pro > Sound Library (or MainStage > Sound Library). Click Manage Packs, then Get All. Several of our sounds need these Apple samples.

BACK UP FIRST

In MainStage, choose File > Save Concert As to keep a copy of your concert. In Logic Pro, back up your projects, for example with Time Machine.

LOAD YOUR PATCHES

MainStage: open your concert, or choose File > New and pick a template. Click Edit (top left). Drag only the .patch files (not the sample folders) from 3 - Patches onto the Patch List, then choose File > Save. Logic Pro: choose File > Open and open the .logicx project in 1 - Logic Pro Session. To keep a sound, select its track, open the Library, and click Save. It appears under User Patches.

TEST OUT YOUR NEW PRESETS

You are good to go! Play through the sounds and see what inspires you. Don't forget to tag the artist on social media if you share something. They would love to hear how you are using their presets.
