Big Bright Plate
Plate is probably my most often used reverb, I love the character and flexibility of them. This preset is designed to help high gain rhythm or soaring leads really cut through a crowded mix. The low end is scooped out to give your eq more clarity and brightness, allowing for multi note parts to not get too muddy.
Carpet Pad Hall
This is a great patch for moments where you want to have a lush, ambient pad to sit beneath your playing. The long trail and lower mix stays out of the way of your articulation while supporting everything with a rich and wide bed of verb.
Chamber Swells
This is a great preset for parts that have enough space between changes for the reverb to fully bloom and help connect the movements.
Classic Cloud
We all know and love the cloud. This is my usual starting point, with the tone set bright enough to give the air a glassiness without muddying your playing. I’ll typically only adjust the mix and decay depending on the room size I’m playing.
Huge Room
Just like the name implies, this gives huge depth and space to your parts. I’ve always loved the tonality of room verbs, especially when pushed. The character is a bit more unique compared to the “standard” ambient options, almost gives a slight chorusing/vocal effect to your tone.
Shoegaze Shimmer
This one is more wild and unique, but super fun. The mix is fully wet with a shorter decay, a nice departure from your more typical shimmer sound. Super inspiring for creating new ideas.
Short Chorale
A very fun and quirky use of the chorale patch. The short decay helps the vowel tones not sound so dramatic while also letting muted lead lines pop in a fun way. I used this preset on “Who Is This Man”
Sliced Magneto
Here’s another super fun and interesting reverb. I’ll typically use this for more syncopated/time based parts. Almost in lieu of delay, just adjusting the decay to get the timing where you need it.
Swollen Clouds
Another take on the classic cloud, I typically will use this preset for big, ambient swells or slide. Quick ticket to lush town.
Trailing Nonlinear
This is a fairly niche but inspiring setting. It gives anything you’re playing some fun movement, almost like an echo. A really creative tool for the right scenario.
