1000 Points Of Light
Mod Wheel makes the stars come out. Detailed string grains with lots of movement and a lived-in sound. Use sparingly. Great for covering tempo changes or layering underneath a piano.
Silver Sea
Mod Wheel opens up the filters. Fluttery details linger when closing it back down, like lilies on the water. Pretty quick attack for a pad but I’ve found it’s useful to have it that fast for melody work in the right hand when things get huge.
Star Catcher
Mod wheel opens up the sound. Play simple low chords with the wheel closed, then play big high clusters with the wheel open. Great for stabs, and filling in mids if there's only one EG.
