Neural DSP Quad Cortex Bass Presets by Samuel Rady, a touring bassist with credits on more than 250 live and studio recordings. Samuel plays bass on tour with Kameron Marlowe. Ten presets, each built for a specific context: the road, the church stage, the studio, and the nights when the right string choice changes everything.
 
The touring preset leads: MicroSynth, a drive, a sub, and a dB boost for switching basses. Run it in Scene and Stomp mode and you get transpose scenes for standard, half step, whole step and five string. The church preset is Samuel's go-to for modern worship sounds, with a heavier drive, a low pass filter for the down sections and a chorus for the moments that open up. The studio preset splits the outputs: bass and effects on Output 1, a straight clean tone on Output 2. The producer will thank you later.
 
Beyond those, a recreation of the preset Samuel used while touring with Maverick City, kept simple with a gain for switching basses, an octave and a chorus. A flatwound preset with spring reverb for pick playing, plus chorus and vibrato. And a synth bass preset for when you do not have an actual Moog on stage, with four synth bass types and four effects to try with each one.
 
Four bonus presets take the Tour, Church, Mav and Flatwound sounds and add a second signal path. Plug a synth bass into Input 2 and Output 2, and your bass and synth bass both run through the Quad Cortex at the same time.
 
Under the hood: Samuel's own Noble preamp capture and his Lightspeed drive capture. Both come bundled with the presets, so there is nothing extra to find or install.
