PRESET DETAILS
- 1/4
A classic quarter note tape delay, a must have for every guitar player. I love using this when I’m playing 8th note lines or rhythm parts. It works like a glue to hold everything together nicely and doesn’t stand out too much in the mix. It’s also a cool effect to use when you are playing big diamonds.
- Dotted 8th
An incredibly versatile dotted eighth tape delay. This preset sits so nicely in the mix and helps fill up some space when you’re playing lead or rhythm guitar parts. I love using this for single note lines or when I’m picking through chord inversions.
- Ping Pong Pattern
This is an incredibly wide stereo sound that makes your swells sound so lush and gives you a lot of nice movement. This pairs really nicely with my Big Cloud preset on the Strymon BigSky. It’s also a really fun effect for having a lead line bounce back and forth on the left and right FOH speakers. Try kicking this on for the last note of a big lead line and let the trails ring out. Your sound guy will thank you.
- Eighth
I love using this preset to add depth, dimension, and some rhythmic interest to my playing. This preset really shines when you are playing clean, arpeggiated picking parts. Slap on a vibrato pedal for all of the vibes.
- Reverse Vibes
A good reverse delay is essential for every guitar player. I’ve used this on countless studio sessions to create unique parts and textures. It’s easy for reverse delays to get super swampy or sloppy so I spent a lot of time dialing in this preset to make it really usable and sound musical.
- Shimmery Ice
This is a preset that you don’t want to overuse but adding it once or twice in a set really can give new life to low verses, spontaneous parts, or song transitions. I love pairing this with a 100% wet reverb to get some lush ambient tones. This will cut nicely through a mix without being too bright.

This preset pack is awesome! If you follow Steven on IG, you know he knows what he’s doing. His tailored presets are top notch, and are better than anything I came up with on my own.
these presets are super helpful. they sound great right off the bat. you can tweak stuff to taste, but even if you don't they sound amazing. useful for tracking in a studio and also in a live setting. good basic presets, and also some fun creative ones as well.
I love the reverse and shimmery presets in this pack. The dotted 8th and quarter are not overpowering or overdone and work hand in hand with reverb from the big sky. Nicely done!!
Many people flock towards presets made by large artists, and that’s a cool thing. However, for the everyday musician, we need presets that are versatile and are used by other notable musicians who play a variety of styles and who also play songs made by others. Steven has a great ear for tone, is reputable, and produced some of the best Bigsky / Timeline presets I’ve ever used. Do yourself a favor and check them out. These Timeline Presets cover all you would need and some more!
I don’t know what I was expecting. Every sound is usable and sounds so clean. Loaded these into my Timeline a day before a Sunday service and off the bat they just felt good. These are so awesome if you want something you can trust and not worry about!
