How to load presets on the Strymon TimeLine
Works with Nixie 2 (public beta) and Nixie Legacy. Back up your pedal first, then load your SoundShop presets with the steps below.

GET NIXIE 2
Download the free Nixie 2 editor from Strymon's official page below. Strymon labels it a Public Beta. It needs macOS 13.6 or later, or Windows 11. On an older computer, use Nixie Legacy (second tab).

CONNECT AND BACK UP
Use a USB MIDI interface (install its driver). Connect its MIDI OUT to TimeLine MIDI IN, and TimeLine MIDI OUT to its MIDI IN. On the pedal, hold VALUE to open GLOBLS, set MIDI PA and MIDI CT to ON and MIDI TH to MERGE (ON on older firmware), then hold VALUE again to exit. Open Nixie 2 and click GO TO UPDATE if asked. Then click CREATE BACKUP (bottom of the Presets panel), then CREATE.

LOAD YOUR PRESETS
Click the LIBRARY tab. Choose File > Presets > Import Presets, open one SoundShop .syx file, pick the TimeLine library and tick Import as Folder. Drag the imported presets onto the first slot you want in the Presets panel; they fill in order. Click WRITE to save them to your TimeLine. Writing replaces the presets in those slots. Repeat for each .syx file in your pack.

TEST OUT YOUR NEW PRESETS
Play them and see what inspires you. Share something? Tag the artist!
Troubleshooting
Not detected? Plug-and-play MIDI cables usually fail. Strymon confirms the Roland UM-ONE MKII, iConnectivity MIO XC and Strymon Conduit. On a UM-ONE, TO MIDI IN goes to the pedal's MIDI IN.
TimeLine MX? Strymon has not confirmed these presets work on it. Email us first.
