Daniel grew up in Texarkana, Texas, where his journey as a guitarist began in the church, playing and traveling with his father from the age of 15. His passion for worship and guitar opened the door to a pivotal relationship with Chris Tomlin, whom he met at a youth camp in Dallas. In the fall of 2000, at just 18 years old—and still in high school—Daniel was invited to join Chris on tour. Over the next 24 years, Daniel served as Tomlin’s guitarist, contributing to 16 Chris Tomlin albums and 14 Passion albums, and traveling the world leading worship. Today, Daniel lives in Nashville with his wife Bren and their five kids. He has shifted his focus to creating resources for the worship guitar player, offering online teaching and coaching to equip and encourage the worship community.
