These premium ToneX™ amp captures come straight from John Meding’s personal collection—this time featuring one of his new favorite amplifiers, the Benson Vincent. A uniquely voiced amp powered by two EL34 tubes, one 6L6, and one EL84, the Vincent offers an inspiring blend of American and British tonal characteristics. Its preamp section, housing three JJ 12AX7 tubes, delivers everything from articulate cleans to harmonically rich overdrive.


John has been integrating these captures into his studio guitar rack for remote tracking, particularly favoring the Dirt channel for its dynamic and responsive feel. This collection includes clean and drive captures, designed for ultimate flexibility—whether using the stock 2x12 Blue cabinet with a blend of Shure™ SM57 and Royer™ R-121 microphones, or pairing them with your own IRs and cabinets for a customized sound.


Each capture is dialed in to settings John personally uses in the studio, making this an essential addition for players who crave versatility and premium amp tones.


VINCENT CLEAN

An amp-only ToneX™ capture of the clean channel of the Benson Vincent. Treble is slightly rolled back, and Bass is slightly boosted for a balanced, warm response. Captured with a stock software 2x12 Blue cabinet, featuring a blend of Shure™ SM57 and Royer™ R-121 microphones. Ready to drop into your rig as-is, or swap in your own IRs for custom tones.


VINCENT DRIVE

An amp-only ToneX™ capture of the Dirt channel of the Benson Vincent. Maintains the same Tone settings as the clean capture, with gain and level slightly boosted to unlock rich harmonic overdrive. Captured with a stock software 2x12 Blue cabinet, featuring a blend of Shure™ SM57 and Royer™ R-121 microphones. Designed for maximum flexibility—use it as captured or shape it with your own IRs and cabinets.
