Eight Neural DSP Quad Cortex presets from David Kim, a Los Angeles touring guitarist spanning CCM, pop, R&B, and gospel. David plays guitar with Jackson Wang, Ciara, and Doobie Powell. The pack covers his full tonal range, from transparent clean to funky chopper textures, built for the guitarist who crosses genres in a single set.
The clean foundation is a Mesa Boogie Lone Star-style tone with a compressor stack. From there, an 80s session chorus patch with tri-chorus and stereo delays handles wide, layered parts. A BB preamp drive covers classic rock leads. A Halcyon Green mid-boosted crunch fills the space between clean and saturated, with the blues-leaning push that sits under chord-heavy moments.
The ambient half goes deeper. Shimmer reverb and reverse delay sit under slow CCM builds, with a grit version of that swell when the moment needs more weight. A POG-style octave lead handles chorus hooks, including moments like the lift in "Battle Belongs" by Phil Wickham. The final patch is the funkiest: a square-wave 1/32 chopper tremolo for pop builds and worship songs like "The Joy" by Belonging Co.
The Quad Cortex presets a working worship guitarist reaches for across every genre. Now in yours.
