How to load presets in Spectrasonics Omnisphere 3

UPDATE OMNISPHERE 3

These presets will not open in Omnisphere 2. Click the Spectrasonics logo (upper right) to see the splash screen. If it says Updates are available!, click GET UPDATES, log in, and run the installer it downloads.

BACK UP YOUR SOUNDS

On a Mac, open Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder, type ~/Library and open Application Support > Spectrasonics > STEAM. On Windows it lives in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics, a hidden folder, so turn on Show Hidden Files and Folders first. Copy the Patches > User and Multis > User folders from STEAM > Omnisphere > Settings Library to another drive.

INSTALL THE .OMNISPHERE FILE

Click the Utility Menu (the three-line button, upper left) and choose Install .omnisphere. Pick the .omnisphere file inside 1 - Presets (it may be in a subfolder). A report shows what is inside. Click OK. In the Patch browser, open the Directory menu and choose Sharing. Multis are under Sharing in the Multi browser.

TEST OUT YOUR NEW PRESETS

You are good to go! Play through the sounds and see what inspires you. Don't forget to tag the artist on social media if you share something. They would love to hear how you are using their presets.
