Quad Cortex presets, answered
How are Quad Cortex presets delivered?
They don’t download as a file. We share them to your Cortex Cloud account, and Cortex Cloud only shares between accounts that follow each other. Follow thesoundshopco in the Cortex Cloud app or at cloud.neuraldsp.com, type your exact Cortex Cloud username at checkout (not your email), then download the preset from Shared With Me. How long does delivery take?
Under an hour, usually faster. If you followed thesoundshopco before you bought and gave us your Cortex Cloud username at checkout, it’s usually two to three minutes.
Do they work on the Quad Cortex mini or the Nano Cortex?
They load on the Quad Cortex mini. The Nano Cortex can’t load them.
Do I need to buy the captures separately?
No. When a preset is shared to you, the captures it uses come along with it.
Are there free Quad Cortex presets?
Yes. Select artists give a pack away, and it’s marked Free in the grid above. You check out like any other product at $0, and we share it to your Cortex Cloud account.
I’m still on a pedalboard. Should I switch?
Only if it solves a real problem for you. Plenty of great players are sticking with their boards, and both rigs are on the biggest stages in the world right now. If you’re still deciding, we wrote about choosing between a multi-FX unit and a pedalboard.
